Teaching & Learning procedures:
StepⅠ Warming up and lead -in.
1.Greeting.
T: Good afternoon, boys and girls. Glad to meet you!
2.Say a chant.
T: Now, are you ready for class? First let's say a chant, please! Are you ready? Let’s go!
【学习内容】复习I’m going to…句型。
【学习方式】说英语顺口溜。
【设计意图】以顺口溜活跃气氛使孩子们带着一种愉快的心情进入新的学习。
3.Talk about photos.
T:Wonderful! I’m going to take a look, take a look at the photo, please!
1) Who is it?
2) Yes it’s me .And where am I ?
3) In front of the bookstore. I often go to the bookstore. Can you guess: When do I often go to the bookstore?
【学习内容】复习“Who, Where,When三个特殊疑问词的意义和回答。
【学习方式】谈论一张老师的生活照片。
【设计意图】用贴近孩子们生活的人物拓展他们的英语思维,为本节课的阅读与写作做铺垫。
4.Free talk
T:Yes, I often go to the bookstore on weekends. I’m going to buy a new CD…What are you going to do?
【学习内容】复习“What are you going to do?的提问和回答。
【学习方式】谈论孩子们自己的生活。
【设计意图】用孩子们自己的生活的拓展他们的英语思维,激发他们说英语的兴趣,为本节课的阅读与写作做铺垫。
StepⅡ: Presentation
1.First reading.
T:Look and listen to the text. Then answer: What does liu Yun talk about on the telephone? (weekend)板书:weekend

【学习方式】阅读课文,回答一个问题。
【设计意图】第一遍阅读了解课文大意。
2.Second reading.
1).Read and Put the phrases into the right circle.(见附件一)
2)Check the answer.
3)Play a game, a match between the groups.(say as quickly as you can):
T: buy a new CD S: On Saturday.
4)Read the phrases together.

Step Ⅲ Talking
1. Group work: Liu Yun’s weekend is going to be busy. But what about yours? Please discuss in pairs!
(Discuss with “with, where, when”)
2.Ask some students to share their dialogues.
【学习内容】讨论自己的周末。
【学习方式】小组讨论。
【设计意图】设计的这一情境是对课文的很好的延伸,重在培养学生活学活用语言的能力。在此情境下可以鼓励学生充分发挥自己的想象,用所有学过的英语进行有意义的交际。
