Hello,everyone! I’m glad to be here for the presentation this afternoon.

Today,I will talk about the topic-----American dream and Chinese dream -----with all of you.

First,I would like to talk about the American dream.The American dream can be described as a belief that all citizens and residents of the United States can achieve their goals in life through hard work regardless of social class or circumstances of birth.American scholars generally believe that the statue of liberty is the symbol of the American dream and the declaration of independence is the foundation of the American dream. There is a famous sentence in the declaration of independence said that we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. To achieve this goals,more and more great Americans were struggled, including George Washington,Abraham Lincoln,Martin Luther King,etc.Due to their efforts,generations of Americans realized their dreams.Including Barack Obama----the first black president of America.Forrest Gump is one of my favorite American film.The film tell us that American dream is not a secret.It open the door to everyone who have a dream.

This year,President Xi put forward the Chinese dream and said that the Chinese dream is interlinked with the American dream. That is to say every Chinese can achieve their dreams through their own efforts no matter he is the son of a officer or the son of a farmer.

But today,most Chinese are complaning and confusing.They are complaining the tainted milk powder,the gutter oil,the dyeing bread...They are confusing that whether rules can overcome the unspoken rules,whether academic is different from politics,whether the strength of character are more important than obsequiousness . But I want to say that we Still need a faith in the age of doubt.We know that in the United States,generations of Amerians are deeply believe in the Amerian dream,that is why Amerian dream still flash today.So China also need a faith,especially in China today.And I think the faith is Chinese dream.
