金盛人寿保险有限公司(AXA-Minmetals Assurance Company Limited,以下简称“公司”)由安盛集团和五矿集团合资组建,于19xx年正式成立,是中国第一家中法合资的保险公司,亦是中国保险监督管理委员会成立后批准的首家寿险公司。20xx年,金盛人寿保险有限公司秉承“承诺发展,贡献中国”的思想,本着“胸怀全局,本地经营”的理念,取得了卓越的成绩。

An Outline of AXA-Minmetals Assurance Co., Ltd. in 2001

Established in 1999, AXA-Minmetals Assurance Company Limited, a joint venture of AXA Group and Minmetals Group, is the first Sino-French insurance company in China and also the first life insurer to be approved by China Insurance Regulatory Commission after it was established. With the concept of “commitment to development and contribution to China” in mind, AXA-Minmetals Assurance Company Limited has achieved sound performance in 2001.

Since commencement of operations, AXA-Minmetals has been actively developing its business and designing products tailored to meet the needs of the Chinese market. The “Smart Lady” product was voted as “Women’s Favorite Product” by Shanghai Women’s Association shortly after its launch. In 2001, Par Annuity and Par Whole life 306 were launched, which were designed especially for Shanghai inhabitants, taking into account the factors of low interest rate, medical system and social pension system reform in Shanghai. Par Whole Life 306 was designed particularly to meet different needs of Shanghai inhabitants, with both the traditional saving function and new participating function as well. Thus far, AXA-Minmetals has completed participating product range.

AXA-Minmetals’ overall philosophy is to value people, ie: customers, sales force, staff, etc., as key assets. As a flourishing life insurance company, AXA-Minmetals aims to build an environment, which is highly conducive to the attraction, recruitment and retention of quality staff and sales force. Particular emphasis is placed on providing the best possible training programs for people development. In August 2001, the AXA Group introduced a revolutionary education program called PEAK for its sales associates across the Asia Pacific region. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the quality of advice given to customers and clearly differentiates AXA-Minmetals from its competitors. The sales force of AXA-Minmetals can certainly look forward to participating in the above program to lift their professionalism.

Since its business commencement two years ago, AXA-Minmetals takes an active part in “ You & Us” campaign, a three-year activity initiated by AXA Group. Utilizing the AXA group’s global expertise in servicing its customers, AXA-Minmetals tailors its business processes to achieve best practice in delivering quality service to its customers. In 2001, AXA-Minmetals made some adaptation on its corporate web site to improve the function of communication with the adding of company profile, product introduction, customer service and

agent club, etc. It has also established various customer clubs to enhance the values of insurance products by means of the perfect customer service. Besides the issue of “AXA-Minmetals Peony Card,” AXA-Minmetals issued the Assistant Card to make our service available to the customers at any time and help our clients to get the best out of life. AXA-Minmetals has been warm-hearted in charity affairs and public propaganda since its commencement. It holds “corporate citizen” as the example for all staffs. In 2001, AXA-Minmetals made donation to the disabled people and also contributed its help to the Shanghai Orphanage and Fengxian Old People House. Taking an active part in the “Insurance Day” and “The Second Shanghai International Insurance Exposition and Forum”, AXA-Minmetals enhanced the citizen’s sense of insurance and established a social image for the whole insurance industry.

With the far-sightedness and great achievements of AXA Group as well as the innovativeness and creativeness of Minmetals Group, AXA-Minmetals has transferred its expertise to the local insurance market. In September 2001, AXA-Minmetals was granted a sub-license by China Insurance Regulatory Commission to start preparing the establishment of a sub-branch company in one of the cities opened to foreign insurers. According to the result of AXA Brand Study conducted by Gallup in January 2002, AXA-Minmetals wins confidence of local people by high quality of its brand image, agents and customer service.

AXA-Minmetals views the life insurance industry in China as one with tremendous potential. On China’s entry to WTO, AXA-Minmetals will tailor its long-term strategy to adapt the environment of the new era. It will sustain strong branding strategy and set up world-level business platform to face the competition of international market. Meanwhile, the synergy of the AXA Group’s global operation system with flexibility and customization will be carried out as well as extensive product range to meet the increasing demand of the local citizens.
