请问对方辩友论证西方节日在中国被鼓励之后是怎样影响到中国传统节日的。西方情人节在中国越来越火之后，是不是七夕情人节就越来越冷清了？圣诞节在中国越来越受关注之后，难道我们就不重视春节和中秋这样的节日了么？

My dear opponent，please proof how to affect the Chinese traditional festivals if the foreignfestivals were encouraged in China. When the Valentine’s Day is more and more popular, people pay more attention of the Chinese traditional valentine’s day, don’t they? When the Christmas Day is a hot festival celebrated in China, don’t we attach importance to the Spring Festival and Mid-autumn festival?

As clearly as I have said, the foreign festivals drawour attention from native ones. Firstly, a thing is valued if it is rare. So too many foreign festivals will drawour attention from native ones.Secondly, even though you are strangely passionate,when Spring Festivalmeets Valentine’s Day, which one do you prefer, celebrating the spring festival with families or accompanying your girlfriend? Finally, Rome was not built in one day, the cultural invasion is a longtime process in which you are affected unconsciously.

My fellow debater, you overstated the result. Learning advanced science and technology from the West should be a good way to keep up the step with the world. Do you think that if these festivals were introduced in Qing dynasty so that the doom wouldn’t come? Obviously not.As Zhou Enlai said, seeking common ground while

My dear opponent, the first debater just said it is great waste to celebrate the foreign festivals, like cut down trees on Christmas Day, I want to ask you, don’t we make pollutions in our traditional festivals? And nowadays, Christmas trees are made by plastics, so pollutions maybe bad excuses!

Yeah! You got it. That is what I want to say. I can’t deny that there is no wasting in our traditional festivals, but it’s quite different. We celebrate our festivals for memorizing ancestors, uniting families,carrying forwardcultural essence. But when we celebrate those western festivals, most of us don’t even know the essence and background of itself, to some extent, it is can be called idolization.

Ladies and gentlemen,

At the very beginning, I want to clarify the definition of culture merging. It means cultures with different features interact, permeate, learn from each other and finally become one. So my fellow debaters ,according to you logic, I really wonder how could we still maintain the unique culture core during the merging process. On the contrary ,from our point of view, we can develop and communicate our culture while still maintaining the uniqueness.

Secondly , the culture needs diversity, and diversity requires uniqueness and differences. For the world, my dear all,why is our world so interesting and fantastic? Isn’t it because of vivid cultures with unique shining features? The world without differences and uniqueness is such dull and tedious. And for individuals, it is really natural for us to seek colorfulness and uniqueness. Why do people all like going around and traveling to different places? Cause we want to experience different customs sceneries and cultures, and that exactly satisfies our inner needs

Lastly , I want to ask all of you here a simple question: are you proud of our Chinese nation? The answer is definitely yes. Because we , Chinese people, have shared common uniqueness

of our culture. Such precious gift passes down from our grandfathers to our fathers then to us, so we always say that the unique cultures are root and soul of our nation. Without such unique features, I am afraid the whole nation will sooner or later vanish.
